Tearfund

Tearfund is a Christian charity with over 50 years of experience in international development. They work directly alongside local partners and churches, in underserved communities in more than 50 countries to tackle complex poverty in three main ways: Humanitarian Response; Community Development and Advocacy & Influencing.

Between 2006 and 2016, Tearfund calculated that they had reached 32 million people through community development projects, and 13 million people benefitted from their disaster response work. “We believe an end to extreme poverty is possible.”

The Business Challenge

Tearfund first visited Datanet at ARK in December 2023 and were highly impressed with our cutting-edge data halls and client amenities available to all our rack customers. As a Christian charity, they particularly appreciated the sustainability features ARK offer. They were planning to move their offices and therefore needed a data centre to host their equipment. Their requirements included top-level security, easy access to their rack without prior arrangement, and occasional remote support.

Datanet’s Solution

Tearfund moved into their Ultra Full Rack in February 2025 after selling their offices. Richard and Mark from our Support Team assisted in transporting all their equipment to ARK, where it was securely stored in one of the cages in our data hall, ready for installation the following morning. Our support team were onsite the next day to ensure everything went smoothly. Tearfund were up and running in no time.
