Powering the Future of AI and HPC

The growth of artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing (HPC) and their substantial power requirements is driving the swift adoption of custom and more powerful power distribution units (PDUs).

The market is expected to expand at a rate of 23.8% through 2028, significantly surpassing standard rack PDUs which are forecasted at 5.3%. The growing density of AI and HPC workloads is leading to substantial power consumption therefore requiring solutions beyond standard offerings, which many server rooms won’t be able to accommodate.

At Datanet, we provide all racks natively with dual 7.5kW APC PDUs able to handle workloads starting from 15kW. The APC Smart PDUs have proven to be extremely reliable for over the more than 20 years we have been providing them to our rack customers.

They have of course changed over the years whilst keeping the reliability. Today the generous assortment of C13 and C19 sockets is complemented by power metering technology and individually remotely switchable sockets, the latter provided over a separate network to guarantee remote access.
