Network reachability issue 15th August 25
On the 15th August between approximately 16:15 and 18:30 Datanet’s network suffered a failure which caused packet loss from some external networks.
As of approximately 16:15 on 15/08/2025 an interconnect port to one of our peering partners was dropping a significantl number of inbound larger sized packets. This affected traffic/applications using larger payloads and only some traffic sources. Traffic flows that were affected include ingress from some Microsoft Azure and AWS regions and other providers including Daisy Communications.
The problem was identified and resolved at 18:30 and all traffic flows returned to normal.
We will be reviewing a number of our processes and procedures in light of this incident, including customer notification of issues, change management and troubleshooting.
Datanet appologise for the inconvenience and disruption caused.
