Grimshaw Architects
Before the pandemic, yet spurred on by the pandemic, Danny Gillmore, Director of Information Technology, at Grimshaw embarked on a project to provide several hundred Grimshaw architects with powerful workstations hosted in the cloud.
These workstations would take the form of the new HP Zmini workstation hosted by Datanet in our ARK Data Centre. Come forward some three years and Danny’s vision has become a reality.
ISS | Making sense of IT
Due to an increased pricing escalation at their previous data centre, ISS were looking to move their hosting to somewhere else.
Anthony Goold (Managing Director) was impressed with Datanet’s competitive pricing, the facilities at ARK, Farnborough, the technical knowledge of Datanet’s engineers, both onsite and remote, and the general friendly, accommodating nature of Datanet’s staff.
Christian Aid
Christian Aid have a data centre on site but didn’t have a secondary data centre outside of London, so we were looking for a low cost, reliable rack space outside of the M25 to provide us with resiliency for the company.

Dalet
Due to the demanding nature of the media solutions that Dalet provide, they were looking for a high power rack (6kW ~24Amps) with a generous allocation of Internet bandwidth (dual 10Gb) in a high security facility with 24×7 access for their engineers. Preferably a half hour from their Basingstoke offices.
Dalet would also appreciate help with the actual move of their servers for which Datanet were able to offer use of our van, ramp and flight cases.
