We are currently experiencing an intermittent problem with pop authentication resulting in users being requested for their username/password when logging into their POP boxes.

11:25am - update - normal service has been resumed, however, customers who have not received any expected emails are advised to check with the sender as undelivered mail may be held within the senders system.

The issue with sending outbound mail is now resolved. Customers using Outlook, may need to resend messages from their 'sent items' folder which were originally sent between 4.00pm yesterday (15th December 2008) and 9.20am today.

All email systems are up and running. There is still a backlog of email but the system is catching up and the long bank holiday weekend should see things back to normal. TechTeam will be keeping and eye on things during the weekend. No email has been lost and all email queued will be delivered over the weekend.

Mail server back up The mail server that had been causing the problem is now taken out of service and replaced. Customers will now be able to send and receive email but the mail queue is large, so mail may be a little slower than usual. We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.
