.eu domain names are available from today to anyone within the European Union on a first come first served basis.

Since December when the .eu was launched, it has only been possible to register a .eu domain name if you had a prior right, until now.

During the current Land Rush stage anyone can apply for the .eu domain name of their choice without the need to supply supplementary information.

There has been huge interest in .eu domain names with EURid themselves receiving 702,684 new .eu domain name registrations within the first hours of the Land Rush phase.
