Over the past few weeks I have been building a test bench for CloudPortal Services Manager.
On the whole this has gone fairly well, I am learning how the system works while building which has caused me some moments of pulling my hair out. So far I have the basic portal built and the ability to provide IIS7 hosting and DNS.
My next step is to enable Exchange 2010 hosting, this is (so far) where the problems have started.
The installation of the Cortex Web Service keeps failing and the log file says.

I think this is due to the order in which things are loaded. I think that I should load IIS before .NET4 as this would have solved the issue. Thats the only problem with building from a VM template in which .Net4 is already installed.
The quick solution (as I found out) is to run aspnet_regiis from the .NET folder in Windows.

Now all I have to do is get Lync, Sharepoint and MySQL working. :_)
